San Zhi is an abandoned "would be" vacation resort on the northern coast of Taiwan. Apparently the project was built sometime in the late 70's/ early 80's and was never actually completed. There are several stories as to why these remarkable pods were abandoned. Locals say the resort was closed after a series of fatal accidents occurred during construction and is now haunted. Some speculate it will be or has been torn down. Others rumor that destroying the homes of spirits and lost souls is a major no no in Asian culture. Haunted or not- I heart this place.
